Layburn Speech & Language is a quality service providing expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of childre​n's communication skills, and is loc​ated in the historic township of West Wallsend, Lake Macquarie.

The Practice is owned and operated by Amber Layburn.  Amber has been lucky to pursue her passion - helping children achieve their communication goals - for over 20 years. She has grown up in the region, completing a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours I) at the University of Newcastle and proudly receiving the University Medal, in addition to awards for academic achievement and clinical practice.

Layburn Speech & Language offers services for:

• Early communication development and late talkers

• Speech difficulties - including delayed speech development, lisps and motor planning disorders (including childhood apraxia of speech/developmental coordination disorder)

• Early childhood stuttering

• Language delays/disorders - including receptive (understanding language) and expressive (using language) difficulties
